Brazilian photographer Julia Amaral is inspired by bringing to life stories and perspectives that are underrepresented in media. In 2023, through the Shutterstock Create Fund, we co-produced a shoot with @juliapamaral that highlighted the Brazilian family. She says, “I always struggled to find images that resonated with the Brazilian experience... it was very rewarding to see Shutterstock acknowledging the importance of investing in different perspectives, and to be trusted to create images with all the colors, soul and warmth that I see in a Brazilian home.”

Another spectacular Olympics Games has come to an end, and Paris did it in the most Parisian way ✨
More than 70,000 spectators gathered from around the world to watch a science fiction-inspired light-show, with a golden intergalactic traveller tasked with resurrecting the Olympic spirit, and a fantastic performance by French indie-rock band, Phoenix 🎸
The handover to the City of Angels featured one of America’s greatest action stars, Tom Cruise, descending in from the roof of the State de France to the ‘Mission Impossible’ theme song, before he climbed onto a motorcycle—with the Olympic flag in tow—and zoomed out into the night 🏍️
