Daniel Craig is entering his “f—k it” era.
Craig veered away from more experimental projects while playing James Bond, but expected to return to his roots once that part of his life concluded. Now, thanks to Luca Guadagnino, he very much has. Craig gives perhaps his finest screen turn to date in ‘Queer’—a mad, somewhat surreal torrent of lust and isolation. But the actor had to lean into the unknown to truly give the role his all.
“I’m quite stiff. I’m an English guy. I work really hard at trying to free that up,” says Craig. “[Luca] really just helped me with that immensely, to be free to the unknown and the ‘f—k it’ of it all. It’s like, ‘I don’t know, f—k it. Let’s see what happens.’”

Monday night’s Gotham Awards had no shortage of star power, as Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, and more from the Hollywood set descended upon the red carpet.
The ceremony—awards season’s unofficial kickoff—saw Colman Domingo and the cast of ‘Sing Sing’ gain a second wind in the awards race; ‘Nickel Boys’ make a big splash; and a surprise best feature win for ‘A Different Man’ shook up an already crowded awards season race.
